<p style="text-align: left;">Here is the method to find out with the help of a chat client named Pidgin which is also compatible with Gtalk and other chat clients like yahoo,rediff and many more.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">1. To Configure Pidgin for Google Talk,  Click on <strong>Add</strong> button-&gt;<strong> Accounts</strong> -&gt; <strong>Manage Account</strong> will also bring you to the same screen. Now its time to add Gtalk to Pidgin.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">2. Clicking on  <strong>Add</strong> will allow you to add new Gtalk account in Pidgin chat client. The following two screenshots show what you need to fill up for <strong>Basic</strong> and <strong>Advance</strong> tab.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">When someone blocked you in Gtalk (and other IMs), they appear offline just like your other contacts who are <em>really</em> offline. But here in pidgin if they are really offline then you will find details  with image else if they blocked you, then you will find nothing but the blank space with offline symbol . To check in your chat client</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">* Right click, click on <strong>Get Info</strong>, and we’ll know the difference .</p>
