Once upon a time around 3 years back while was working as Computer Instructor for a Computer Hardware and Networking Field my friend suggested me to start Blogging in order to share knowledge using Blogspot with by force i started blogging and day past and he said you can earn while blogging by showing some Familiar blogs like Labnol, Amit Bhawani, NirmalTv, Shoemoney, Shoutmeloud, Shodan, TechPavan, Pro Blogger, Mashable , Honey Tech and Cant Forget Mohan from Bangalore.

And manyother Bloggers who i cant mentioned them now and all in above totally inspired from Kiran the Blogger from Mangalore but day passed and suddenly i migrated to Self Hosted Wordpress day by day consistently Visitors going on increased and by month end some of my daily visitors may observe in my blog an bandwidth exceeded Problem and that day my plan was to Migrate to VPS within a year and thank to Idaksh and Kudlahost who Sponsored my Blog to VPS and also thanks heartful greetings to all the Visitors who made technicalathma.com a grand success. And know finally i migrated my Blog to VPS

Blogspot : Desgin your Theme using Template Desginer

With the help of new feature introduces by blogspot.com named Template Designer will help the bloggers to design thier own template easily, You can change your template,background, Layout and also you can change the color of the template.

To start designing your template :

Log into your Dashboard.
Select your Blog , Click on Design

After Design, Click on Template Designer

Select the type of Template, Layout, Background etc

Click on Apply To Blog.

Iclickvideo is a blog ,of my client and due to some personal problem he is not using it from January 31 2010, and therefore the Blog named http://iclickvideos.blogspot.com now is a part of www.technicalathma.com.

Iclickvideos.blogspot.com is a video playlist as the tag line says it all ” The Best Streaming Videos Picked by User Rating “. Since a 3 years back this blog started and still the blogging goes on . If any changes must be there in the acquired blog please let me know. And i need your support to bring the blog to growth of success. Future if needed i will migrate this blog to Self Hosted Wordpress with new Domain. This blog is just acquired for Free without paying any penny but still i gave 100 dollors for that old owner of that blog because at the same time i got last month adsense check and he saw it.

Whats Up Blogger or WordPress ?

Nowadays Blogging is very fascinating subject. Most of the people blog every day, some people wana start a blog but still stucking with blogging interface whether to Start Blogging with Wordpress or Blogger. But in my side i wana say that i started blogging 2 years back with the help of Blogger it is very easy to use , somewhat user friendly and less programming basic required and we can say it is the best platform to start a Blog but day crossed one day i changed my mind and just migrated to Wordpress , starting one month it was difficult for me to maintain my blog with Wordpress because i was missing Blogger but later on i realized Wordpress is much professional that blogger due to lots of themes and plugins in it.

For Starters you can compare Blogger and Wordpress below :

Blogger :

In blogger you can customize the themes,layouts,colors also you can include third party theme and tracking scripts.
You can store upto 1GB of images and you can go for higher using images hosting like Picasa.
And no Static pages available.In case of private blogs you can restrict google readers and cannot edit the comments.
Widgets speaks loudly here and its fun to be a blogger because it is easy to use and good for starters. But later on you feel to migrate on Wordpress as i did

Wordpress :

It is more professional than Blogger .
Here no template editing but style sheet editing is only available as a paid users those who purchase themes . Around 70% themes let you upload a header image. Some have additional customization options too.
But still dont worry try for free themes which is available in internet grab them out.
Here legally no script allowed but with help of plugins you can add the script here in Wordpress plugins speaks louder.
And you can migrate from Blogger,Live Journal,Yahoo 360 or any other Blog ti Wordpress but not Wordpress to Other. Minimum of 3 Gigabytes uploads are available .
But if you need more you must pay for it.Here you can also upload.ppt, .doc,.pdf files etc.
The worst thing i dont like in Wordpress is Updates and Upgrades but still we cant ignore it because it is for our betterments and Spamming but thanks to Akismet plugin which will take care of all the Spam.

Finally in both Blogger is friendly with lots of Fun because it is very easy to use and user friendly and any people with Basic knowledge on Web can handle it . But Wordpress is much Professional than Blogger and one thing you can ignore is the Traffic in Wordpress is more than Blogger.

So for Starters try to start you blog with Blogspot and later on see for Wordpress but starting with wordpress is also cool no problem just go for it

How to add Adsense in between Blogspot posting area

Hi Friends nowadays adding Adsense in blogspot posting area is easily done.In blogger, normally we can show adds in only three areas.

Above the post heading
End of the post
In sidebar

But nowadays in the most of the adsense compatible blog you will see ads below the posting area sometimes you see ads wrapped in posting area sometimes you see adds in middle of the post or side anyhow, you can add as you wish.

Log in to your Blogspot Account
Go to Settings->Layout->Edit Html

Then Click on “Expand Widget” option
Before altering an Template keep a backup for safer side
Copy the XML codes to notepad or notepad++

Then next thing is to add the adsense code but before that you have to Parse it
After that copy the adsense code to parser box a parse it .

After parsing Copy the Parsed code and Paste it instead of tag
Now Copy the XML code from notepad to blogspot and Update it

How to change a Blogger Template

Changing of blogger templates is as easy then changing your own clothes. But before changing the blogger templates you must have atleast these software while changing the blogger templates.

A Text editor which is easily available ( Let me make easy for you ) Download: Notepad++

Lets change the Blogger Template

Log in to Blogspot
Go to Dashboard -> Click on Layout

Click on Edit Html

Choose any one of the template from Internet ( some blogger templates)
After selecting ,download the template and Extract it
Then go to Edit Html option and click on Browse->select the path were you have downloaded the extracted template and click on Open.
And Select Upload and within a matter of seconds templates gets uploaded

Another method to change the template of blogspot is

Click on Edit Html-> Click on Expand Widget Template
Select the template which you wana update and open that template with a text browser like notepad++
Now select the whole content using Ctrl+C (Copy) and go to the edit template section there down on the text area click there and select Ctrl +V (Paste) and click on Save Template

Start your blog with Blogspot

As we know Blogger is a free blog publishing tool from Google for easily sharing your thoughts with the world. With the help of Blogspot your can share your Photos,Videos,Sounds,Text articles and many more round the world it is easy to use and very flexible than other blogging tools it is also a user friendly so that anybody can start a blog within a matter of minutes.

So lets start blogging from Blogspot, before getting into the blog create a gmail Id for a blog or use your existing Gmail Id, now its time to create a BLOG .

log on to www.blogger.com
log in with your gmail username and password

After logging in type the Display Name ( The name which you wana see in your Blog for eg: Data Entry from Home )

Click on I Accept the Terms and Service then click on CONTINUE
After that click on Blog Title and type the particular name (eg: Data Entry from Home ) and type the particular blog address and check for its availablity.
After entering the both click on CONTINUE

Next option is Choose the Template , Choose any one as you wish then Click on CONTINUE
Finally your Blog has been created. Click on START BLOGGING
