So many people are worried why my website gone hacked, some are worried why only mine and some people is familiar to tackle it , so before getting hacked once again better to check and maintain security issues for your blog or Website.

So to protect your WordPress Blog from getting Hacked :

• Update your WordPress and Plugins when available.

• Go to FTP-> Log in to your CPANEL.

Change the WordPress File Permissions :

• Folders – chmod 755

• Files – chmod 644

• wp-config.php – chmod 644

• .htaccess – chmod 644

• robot.txt – chmod 755

• sitemap.xml & sitemap.xml.gz – chmod 666

Change your WordPress Login Password Frequently, and becarefull of  stealing your password

To change the file permission or chmod of the particular file or folder just open FTP- log in to your account select the file or folder , right click ->permissions. there you can change the chmod of particular file or folder

So this article is for those who have no idea what to do next ? If their WORDPRESS got HACKED. So what to do now ?

So if you find that your WORDPRESS got HACKED ?  Just follow the below simple steps without any worries.

• Be Cool and Calm  : because if you are is rash mode then your cruel mind will not solve your problem. So don’t delete unknowingly your files untill you get the perfect solution which is given below.

• Take your site to Maintenance MODE : First of all install Maintenance Mode Plugin so that your visitors does not go, so better to turn your visitors to your other site if you have. Once you have installed MAINTENANCE MODE PLUGIN now just go in to your FTP where your WordPress Blog installed. And rename index.php file to any other name like index1.php

• Take Backups of  your Blog : Now the main thing is take BACKUP your files and DATABASE and store it in your HARD DRIVE for safety reasons.

• REMOVE ALL THE THEMES AND PLUGIN : Better remove all the plugins and themes which is installed in your WORDPRESS Blog.

• Re- INSTALL WORDPRESS MANUALLY : Wait before Re-INSTALLING manually please make sure that you know how to re-install it or if not learn HOW TO INSTALL WORDPRESS MANUALLY by clicking this link.   After updating your WORDPRESS BLOG , update your DATABASE TOO that screen will come in end part once you finish updating WORDPRESS via FTP..

• Its TIME to start your WORDPRESS  by default THEME : Once you finish updating your WORDPRESS MANUALLY, its time to open your WORDPRESS BLOG  and you will find the BLOG with default theme.  So install your new theme but not the theme which as been taken backup earlier while infected your site.  Once installed your theme install the plugin freshly.
  

Before installing THEMES AND PLUGINS FRESHLY please make sure that your install WP-CLEANER PLUGIN and execute it once , and then install your Theme and Plugins.[ Be sure that you are not installing vulnerable plugins ]

After installing new theme and plugins , please make sure your delete the index1.php file which you have renamed it earlier via FTP because problem may occur again, and once all is done it time to view your site , so do one thing disable that MAINTENANCE MODE PLUGIN and refresh your browser.

So now i will tell you how to take Wordpress Database Backup automatically ?

To take WordPress Backup of your Blog you need to  install a Plugin named Backup to Drop Box and  DropBox Account with Software installed in your Desktop.

Once done go to your WordPress Dashboard

• Click on Settings-> Backup to Drop Box
• Click on Authorize for the First time and Click on Continue
• Now Select the Path, Timing and Click on Save Changes
• Once you click on Save Changes Wordpress will take automatic backups and Drop it in your Drop Box.

So using DropBox its easy to take WordPress Backup automatically,but one thing i want to tell you i tried with my PC it worked fine, and use this procedure at your own risk, it works fine but some to due to PC problems or any software problem, error may occur,

To update WordPress manually just follow below steps :

• Log on to your WordPress Dashboard
• First of all take your Blog Database backup for safety reasons by going to Dashboard ->Tools->Export .

• Download Export File.

• Go to wordpress.org and download Fresh Copy of WordPress
• Create a new folder named WordPress Copy or other name and Extract Folder from .rar or .zip
• Delete WP-Content and WP-config file from that extracted folder.

• Open your FTP  and go to your main directory (where WordPress files are located)
• Upload all the files which are located on Wordpress Fresh Copy Folder. [ If it asks to overwrite click on Yes ]
• After you finish uploading WordPress files, now back to WordPress Dashboard you should see a following message like image.
