Nowadays getting hacked your WordPress Blog is a big headache, because recently i see many blogs getting hacked in thousands, and main target i see is the freshers who starts their blog newly fresh ones and the bloggers who don’t maintain their blog frequently. So if you find that your WORDPRESS got HACKED ? Just follow the below simple steps without any worries.
- Be Cool and Calm : because if you are is rash mode then your cruel mind will not solve your problem. So don’t delete unknowingly your files untill you get the perfect solution which is given below.
- Take your site to Maintenance MODE : First of all install Maintenance Mode Plugin so that your visitors does not go, so better to turn your visitors to your other site if you have. Once you have installed MAINTENANCE MODE PLUGIN now just go in to your FTP where your WordPress Blog installed. And rename index.php file to any other name like index1.php
- Take Backups of your Blog : Now the main thing is take BACKUP your files and DATABASE and store it in your HARD DRIVE for safety reasons.
- REMOVE ALL THE THEMES AND PLUGIN : Better remove all the plugins and themes which is installed in your WORDPRESS Blog.
- Re- INSTALL WORDPRESS MANUALLY : Wait before Re-INSTALLING manually please make sure that you know how to re-install it or if not learn HOW TO INSTALL WORDPRESS MANUALLY by clicking this link. After updating your WORDPRESS BLOG , update your DATABASE TOO that screen will come in end part once you finish updating WORDPRESS via FTP..
- Its TIME to start your WORDPRESS by default THEME : Once you finish updating your WORDPRESS MANUALLY, its time to open your WORDPRESS BLOG and you will find the BLOG with default theme. So install your new theme but not the theme which as been taken backup earlier while infected your site. Once installed your theme install the plugin freshly.
Before installing THEMES AND PLUGINS FRESHLY please make sure that your install WP-CLEANER PLUGIN and execute it once , and then install your Theme and Plugins.[ Be sure that you are not installing vulnerable plugins ]
After installing new theme and plugins , please make sure your delete the index1.php file which you have renamed it earlier via FTP because problem may occur again, and once all is done it time to view your site , so do one thing disable that MAINTENANCE MODE PLUGIN and refresh your browser.
