How to fix corrupted files in Windows XP


Yestarday i went to a customer place were there was a problem in his computer while diagnosing i found that it Windows XP was corrupt, So my dear friend today i will show you how to deal with Windows XP Corrupted files. With the help of this tutorial in further you can easily fix this issue.

Before starting this process all we need is a Windows XP operating system installed and Windows XP CD.

Place the Windows XP CD/DVD in the Drive.

  • Go to start
  • Run
  • type in ‘sfc /scannow’

Now within short time it will try to recover your files.

    Need to check if any files are corrupted. Running sfc/scannow prompts for XP disk ONLY it won’t recognise the version on the disk because of service pack updates. How do I check for corrupted windows files WITHOUT using this command? Can’t find any information online. HELP!
