What is the use of Caret Browsing feature in Internet Explorer 8


Caret Browsing is a feature available in Internet Explorer 8 , this cool feature is mainly used by the people whose likes keyboard rather then mouse. Rather than using a mouse to select text and move around within a webpage, you can use standard navigation keys on your keyboard like Home, End, Page Up, Page Down, and the other arrow keys. This feature is called Caret Browsing and is named after the caret-or cursor-that appears when you edit a document in applications.

To Enable Caret Browsing just follow these steps below:

  • Go to View -> Caret Browsing or use  F7 to On or Off the Caret Browsing.

  • If you wanna enable Caret Browsing for New Tabs or New Windows then Enable Caret Browsing for new windows and tabs check box needs to be selected in Internet Options -> Advanced Tab.
